Shaving
Shaving is one of the manliest activities one can do. Removing a once luscious beard from your face, only to feel the gentleness of your bare skin is a moment to be cherished by men all around. While I could sit here and wax poetic about a part of hygiene that can supply such joy it can also provide such monotony. The fact that facial hair regrows daily causes the spectacle of shaving to lose it's mystical wonder very quickly.

The Perfect Shave
Unverified by humanity, I believe I have found what I consider to be"the perfect shave". This will require a few things (naturally).
- The finest Shaving Cream money can buy
- A working faucet
- Playing Schubert's "Ave Maria"
- A 5 blade manual razor with one precision blade
- A precision Shave Gel (allows the shaving cream to effectively ad hear to your face)
- A mirror
- A Face Towel
- Aftershave Lotion
- Play the Video and begin this majestic ritual.
- Awaken the necessary tools from their slumber deep inside your bathroom cabinet.
- Wet your face and neck down. Perfect shave or not, It's critical to have clean, moist skin for the shaving cream to work properly and not rip the skin off your face.
- Apply the precision shave gel/oil. Use about the size of a quarter and apply on top of designated shaving areas. This will lessen the chance for skin irritation and friction.
- Apply the Shaving Cream/Gel. A brush is the most effective applicator allowing the bristles to open up the pores but your hands can work just as well. Use about the size of 2 nickels and rub your hands to cause the chemicals in the cream/gel to spread. Start with less and add what you need. Too much on your face and the blade can't shave properly because the cream/gel is getting caught in the blades. Too little and you're irritating your face.
- Note the direction your facial hair grows. Most guys facial hair grows down, but the chin is a common place for hair to grow up. Depending on the direction, shave with the grain of the hair (if it grows down, shave down) to avoid developing ingrown hairs on your face.
- Start by shaving under a side burn thus moving across the face.
- Apply firm pressure, making one complete stroke each time. A couple of short strokes can easily cause you to cut yourself.
- After every stroke clean the razor with either a running faucet of lukewarm water. A bowl will also suffice but the running water cleans the blade much more efficiently.
- Puff your cheeks out to ensure a close shave. The razor will naturally glide over your cheek because of its ovular form.
- Shave your neck by tilting your face upward and to the side. Apply the same pressure throughout until shaving over your Adam's apple. Be careful with this area as cuts can be very common. Shave half way down til reaching the break in the Adam's apple and stop. Clean your razor and shave the bottom half
